Phase 1: Alignment (4 months)

  • Integration: our program is founded on our ‘terms of reference’, a document that sets out how we work together with partners, including how senior leadership is kept informed and is expected to help set the direction of our work. As part of this process we will work with you to identify high-potential leaders who will join our team part- or full-time to help shape the program and develop a repository of expertise within your organization.

  • Understanding the technology: we will incorporate our understanding of the latest research on next-generation AI together with practical technical experiments to help you understand and visualize its applications and limitations. This takes the group beyond the twitter hype and the generalities currently offered by the consulting industry to a deep understanding of what the technology can and can’t do today in an enterprise context and what we can expect from it tomorrow.

  • Mapping the opportunity: we apply our understanding of the technology not just in your industry, but within the strategic context of a tightly aligned cohort. For example, in the banking industry we intend to work with regional and community banks focused on differentiation through customer service. The key strategic opportunities next-generation AI opens up for this sector are significantly different from those it opens up for large national and international commercial banks.

Phase 2: Use-Case Discovery and Definition (2 months)

  • Understanding strategy: we will work with you to understand your business’s structure, competencies, assets, and strategic objectives. This process will begin when the cohort kicks off, but it will become a key activity during this phase.

  • Identify use-cases: using this more detailed understanding of each of our cohort members we will identify 3-5 key use-cases where next-generation AI technology can be deployed to create strategic business value: i.e., create business value in ways that also help the organization evolve strategically.

Phase 3: Delivery and Measurement (3 sprints over 3 months)

  • Develop the software needed to deliver against these key use-cases. Work with each of our cohort partners to deploy this new technology inside their organization as an advanced proof of concept.

  • Evolve the PoC and measure performance.

Phase 4: Next steps and Commercialization (3 months)

  • Our program wraps up by documenting our PoC progress and incorporating findings from these projects into a comprehensive document on next-generation AI strategy and tactics. We present these findings to your executive team and, if appropriate, directors and advisors.

  • We will evaluate the PoCs we have created to identify opportunities for ongoing development and commercialization. We will share these plans with our partners and offer ways to continue to collaborate on these products.
